Capital Intelligence Platform.
The gap
Between a spreadsheet and half a million dollars a year.
62% of corporate development teams still track their deals in Excel. Lion Equity Partners survey, via Grata, 2026 Not because they have not heard of the alternatives, but because the alternatives are priced for institutions with an operations department.
The average DealCloud contract runs about US$505,000 a year, across a range from US$85,000 to US$1.43 million. Vendr buyer guide, 2026 That is a rational number for a firm with fifty investment professionals. It is not a number a six-person sponsor can put in front of an investment committee.
The tier in between is empty, and it is where most of the private capital market actually operates. CIP is built for that tier.
Capabilities
Audit-readiness first, then workflow.
Most platforms in this category lead with how much they can do. This one leads with what it can prove, because that is the constraint that decides whether a raise clears.
Platform capabilities
- CC2.1Evidence that produces itselfEvery action writes an append-only record with an actor, a timestamp and a prior value. When an assessor asks who approved something in a prior period, the answer is a query rather than an investigation.
- ODD-02Cash approval chainsThresholds, dual release and independent reconciliation enforced in the permission model. One person cannot raise and release the same payment.
- ODD-03Valuation workflowMarks carry their inputs, their method, their approver and their change history. Prior periods stay reconstructable without asking anyone to remember.
- ODD-04Obligations registerA dated compliance calendar with named owners, where closing an item attaches the evidence that it closed.
- ODD-06DDQ answer libraryAnswers held once, versioned, with owners and review dates, so the next questionnaire is edited rather than written.
- C1.1LP reporting and data roomsCapital accounts and reporting off versioned templates, with document permissioning whose access record is generated rather than assembled.
The platform is designed to the SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria and architected against COBIT, ITIL and NIST CSF. It is not, and is never described as, SOC 2 certified or SOC 2 compliant. What that means in practice.
Who runs it
We are the first firm that has to live with it.
CIP runs the operations of Future Ventures Corp, the private capital advisory firm Maxim operates as Managing Partner. It sits under that venture rather than being sold to it. Every control decision in the platform is one we absorbed before any other firm did.
{{TODO: CLIENT INPUT}} CIP pricing tiers, what each tier includes, and whether pricing is per firm or per seat.
Priced for firms of three to forty people. The intent is that the number is defensible to your own investment committee without a business case.
See whether you need the platform or the build.
The readiness scan usually answers that in seven minutes. Firms with a clear control model and no system need the platform. Firms with neither need the diagnostic first.
